I have got more emails asked for putting their blog posts with links on my blog

Should I sell blog posts on my blog or not? does it affect SEO rankings?

Definitely it will affect your rankings if you over do it. Before eight months, one of my friend who has been maintaining a number of tech blogs received a notification for unnatural links and fall in rankings. The main problem that Google send out this notification is due to the lack of user engagement in the articles provided by others. So be careful about the content engagement as Google has already started to look through the detailed context of the contents through quality checking of contents in Google's phantom update.

I would ignore this nonsense. There is no truth in it at all.

As for your question, selling spots on your site does not have a direct impact on your rankings. It could have an indirect impact on your rankings depending on how adding new links impacts your internal link structure.

Just do not advertise that you sell guest post spots.

I agree - but what if you are accepting guest posting just for the sake of money. We shouldn't compromise to the quality of content and more importantly it should be related to your niche.

I don't think if we sell spaces on our blog, it is going to impact negatively.
