I'm not a professional internet marketers but for me, I often check forums, posting and discussing with new friends, it looks like my hobby, forums and social media is a must-have to promote my services and chatting with friends on it.

There are many things to do if you are a successful marketer. 1. Making sure you have good content. 2. Building marketing campaigns if you use paid traffic. 3. Finding offers you want to promote. 4. Taking care of your email list. 5. Making use of some free traffic places. 6. Creating your own products to market. 7. Outsourcing what you don't have time to do to a VA. 8. Answering business emails 9. Organizing your goals and to-do list 10. etc. It's all dependent on what you want out of your business.
