Have you tried partnering with other websites as a promotion method? More than just affiliating, sponsors or banner exchange..etc..I have not tried yet before but it looks a good way to try and increase traffic for website today. I just want to know this works or not?
Not really sure what you mean by "partnering". That could mean a lot of things. Here are a couple of examples.
1) Two (bloggers/marketers/people in the same niche) become friends and then cross promote each other whenever the opportunity arises to do so. (Yes this works and is extremely effective.) This is exactly what the biggest names in the internet marketing industry do.
2) You partner with another person or small group of people in your niche to produce a new product/website that showcases your knowledge about the industry. (Yes, this is also extremely effective at generating authority and trust within your industry assuming you are good at what you do.)
3) You partner with another person to split the advertising cost of new advertising campaign that promotes both of your products/websites. (Yes also effective and it is done very often in the offline advertising industry)
4) Guest blogging on legit high quality sites is a form of partnership. They are offering you a chance to talk to their audience and introduce yourself to their audience in exchange for some excellent content. Yes this is effective.
I think that anytime you have a chance to partner with another person who shares like-minded goals and values with you, then you will find that partnership to be very beneficial. I love working with partners.
