Hi Hugo, aside from having my regular job as a SEO Specialist, I also have a part-time job as a content writer for Readers Couch. I guess the most challenging part of being freelancer is the time, since every week the head writer of the website provide us the category from which we are going to create a write-up. I always have a problem with the deadline since I am also busy in optimizing the website for my regular job. But I'm loving it, being a freelancer since it allows me to do the career that I want. I am also planning to create my own blogsite in the future and my work in Readers Couch will surely help me to further understand how things work.

I think the hardest part (or at least the most frustrating part) of being a freelancer is the number of customers that think they should get x,xxx hours of work for $xx

The big problem, I got in the past, I didn't have enough money for my life! I borrow money most of friends and my family. The second problem, I had to learn everything by myself and try my best. The third problem, I had to succeed on freelancer because everyone talk to me "the mad" so Now I try to do my best to learn and to share everything I know!

I think one of the biggest issues with being a freelancer is making sure that you have a consistent amount of business/jobs year round. A lot of freelancers have slow times of the year, so you need to be prepared for those if they should come.

Another thing that is always a challenge is getting started. When you first start up there are a lot of people who won't use you because you are new as being a freelancer. They will ask who you have done work for and look for feedback if you are on a site that freelancers get work from. So, starting out and building up a solid reputation might take some time. That would mean you aren't going to make the most money you can in the beginning.

One more thing that can be a challenge is something that RDO mentioned. People are waning you to put in way more time/work/effort than they are realistically paying for. People assume that they can pay someone $5 and that person will work on their job all day, and that's just not realistic. People want to pay peanuts and get diamonds in return!
