I am providing graphic design and my clients have been requesting SEO services but I don't know where to start. So I want to start into SEO services and need your help in finding out the right steps to follow to do this. I was thinking, first to start with a report of their current websites. Can you guys share any good tools or softwares to create a website SEO report?

Hello,

If you want to create SEO report with a software, you can try Seo PowerSuite which has a software that do what you need.
You can use online services such Woorank or Site-Analyzer and use results from these services to build a PDF file and give it to your client.
But before, you need to know seo basics yourself if you want to understand results from these tools.

I'll try to be as nice about this as I can. This is a really bad idea. Just because someone is asking you to do something, does not mean you should do it. The market is already full of SEOs that have no idea what they are doing. It doesn't need one more.

Spend a solid year or two learning how to rank your own webpages first before you even think of touching anyone else's business. You can do some serious harm to a business if you do not know what you are doing. When you take on a client, you hold their business in your hands, and on the online side of it, you can completely annihilate it.

If you are going to do a site audit, probably the best tool out there for it is Screaming Frog. It's reporting kind of sucks, so you have to know how to organize the data and present it. You also have to know which data is useful and which isn't. It does a solid job of crawling sites though and grabbing what you need.

If I were you, I'd pass on this until I actually got a course and learned how to do things the right way and had time to test things to make sure I knew what I was doing BEFORE I started doing it for someone else. If you try to jump into something too soon, it could turn into a hot mess.
