A suggestion for the forum, that new users have to have a minimum number of posts before they can post in sub forums like Services or affiliate programs. Sadly most of the posts in those sub forums are people who only come here to post ads. One post wonders that contribute NOTHING to the community. They only come here to take and give nothing.

That should be a reward to members who actual contribute.

Signatures are not allowed until a certain number of posts (a good thing), should be the same for those kind of sub forums.

Just an idea :)

I have to agree Ron, I have questioned the same thing. There seem to be a group of individuals that merely come her to push their own enterprises and contribute little or nothing to the growth or content of the Forums.

We will have to see what the admin thinks.

Thank you for all you contribute Ron, I have read through many of your posts and your contributions are not only appreciated but very informative.

But requiring a new member to have 35 first posts ( some contribution on the forum ) to post on these forums.

Everyone can read more here: https://www.webmastersun.com/threads/11071-Free-Advertising-For-Internet-Marketers

It is a good idea!

Thanks and cheers, :drinks:

Awesome, Awesome :)

I think 35 is a good number. Makes it so they have to be a part of the forum. And of course if they try to do 35 junk posts, that won't work either :)

Thanks for the quick implementation.

Great addition, with the requirement of 35 minimum posts for those forums, once that is realized by the violators, if they had no intention of contributing to the content of the forum, they will leave. That is a good thing as it should cut down on spam and make the forum easier to maintain.

Great addition WMS.

You are welcome @Ron and @Mike but to be honest, after around 3 weeks since have opened all advertising sections for posting for free then we didn't get any good signals/results as expected, vise versa our forum got more spammers come to post 1 liner posts and low quality content, just to increase post count. And our forum moderators and I have to consume more time to manage spam posts and ban spammers.

So today I have limited number of forums for posting for free as I updated the reply in this thread
https://www.webmastersun.com/threads/14251-Minimum-posts-for-ads?p=85096#post85096

So now members still can post for free on Marketplace section
https://www.webmastersun.com/forums/32-Webmaster-Marketplace-Buy-Sell-or-Trade

But on Affiliate programs promotion and Web hosting sections, new users can need to pay a little for posting there, this helps verifying a member and also maintain our forum as well.

Thanks for your suggestions!

Its really a great move to make this forum out of spam. Make limit of posting can certainly increase the awareness among users to abide with forum rules and contribute some good posts here. I really appreciate and Welcome this move made by admin.
