Changing to HTTPs can decrease the quality of backlinks that I built?

I read that if my site moves to http to https then backlinks I built in the past will be decrease the quality because it will be redirected from http to https. Is that true? how to move to https that still maintaining backlinks for my site?

If you 301 redirects your website than it might be a problem for you. However I am not 100% sure about it. Waiting for others to comment on this thread. Thanks for open up this thread.

It can be a problem, yes. It would be a good start to assess your backlink profile and contact as many sites who have linked to you, and simply ask them to change the link to your new URL. You'd be surprised how often people will do that. Of course that won't always be possible - although some of those you can't change will likely be lower quality backlinks anyway. Not 100% sure what else can be done, so I'm also waiting for others to comment!

Just do the 301 redirects. It won't be a problem.

Any links that you control or can get the webmasters to change them to the new HTTPS URL, do so. Also change all your internal links to the new URL if you are not using relative links.

Thanks I know about this but I also knew Google considers http and https as different URL thus backlinks pointing to these URLs are different.
I guess my sites can decrease rankings if changing to https even making a 301 redirection on each URL. That's the problem that I am concerning.

you need to set permanent 301 redirect on a page level. And dont 301 redirect everything to the home page becuase this will kill all your rankings overnight.

I did a searching and found some but I don't know which is doing right way.

It won't make any difference. if you will settle 301's perfectly. and it will be the great to go with the https since google gives it verymuch affection.
