What is your Reddit strategy?

I tried to use Reddit a couple of years ago but didnt quite get the hang of it. Maybe I tried to use it like it was Facebook, Twitter or Instagram.

Are you using Reddit? What has worked for you? What are the best tips for a beginner using Reddit to promote a blog or an online business?

If you think like a marketer on Reddit you are going to fail. Reddit HATES marketers and self promotion. It makes it even harder for marketers, because everyone can see your post history. Furthermore Mods are going to ban you from a subreddit, delete your posts or even ban your account from reddit. The best way to get traffic from reddit is by posting a relevant article every two weeks in a subreddit and participating in conversations like a real redditor between each article post.
