Final thoughts:
When writing new posts or adding new content, solicit input from industry leaders, name recognizable companies, figures that you can quote or reference in the article. Be generous in giving credit and backlinks to sources.
Join and participate in major industry forums and blogs, 2 to 5 max.
Become member of major industry specific associations and find ways to participate and offer value to those organizations.
Write raving, funny, incredible review for any software you use and like. Chances are the software company will want to feature your review if it is off the hook. This may provide you with high PR, very relevant back links.
