We have been planning to install a SSL Certificate on our domain but have been waiting because approximately 21% of our website visitors still use Internet Explorer on Windows XP. (We serve a B2B Marketplace.) Our current host, and many others I have looked at, offer no workable solution for these users. They basically say "shut the door on those users or have them upgrade their browser." (Our users IT departments dictate their browser, and most of our users aren't going to click past the warnings.)
Soon version 62 of Chrome will show a warning message if you don't have a certificate. This is another big group of our users.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
I'm not a developer and I don't manage servers. I'm not even sure what questions to ask a developer or where to turn. We just want HTTPS in the browser bar for all our users!
Thank you.
