How do you increase conversion rates on affiliate links?

Affiliate marketing is a nice way to earn a side income, but it can be hard when no one seems to be buying the products.

So how do you go about increasing conversions? What has worked for you?

Pre sell the product or service you are promoting. Give them the information they need to make the buying decision before they click to the sales page.

Deliver the right product to your target audience. Generally marketers choose wrong products and try to convert them in sales but at last nothing happened. If you are operating a blog start collecting emails from your visitors. Email marketing is very useful in increase conversion rates.

A small but effective thing you can do is change your copywriting. Add more call to actions like "Get now", "Buy here", etc if its applicable. Also change your writing to make it relate more to their wants, needs, insecurities.

do split testing with all your ads .... see what is working better - learn from it. Also, could you create a contest somehow ... and for people to enter, they would need to give their email - maybe share the contest to ( as on Facebook)
