What is the difference between link building and SEO backlinking?

Can anyone tell me what is the difference between link building and SEO backlinking? I could not distinguish these techniques in SEO. Needing someone help me out

You probably can't distinguish the difference between them because there is no difference. Same thing, when you are 'link building' you are building 'backlinks'.

Their are two basic types of link building.

1. Getting links for SEO purposes.
2. Getting links just for the traffic that click on them.
3. OK, 3 A combination of 1 and 2.
