How to successfully outsource software development?

It seems to be great Idea for a startup or project especially if managed to find investors.
Does anyone know some literature or articles or blogs on the subject?

What you need to do first, in order to even show an investor that you have a chance at being successful, is to first be successful at selling softweare for others.

Focus on Affiliate marketing of software from Clickbank, Avangate, et al, and then search for whitelable software PLR software if you can find any.

After success in those areas, you won't need an investor for your software idea, as you should have enough to finance your first software development project and be successful in marketing it.

I am a software developer and partner with several different marketers. If you don't have deep pockets to pay "quality" software programmers you need to have a proven track record that you can sell.

Unless it is a tiny project it is always best to partner with a programmer than to hire one. Software always needs updating and bug fixing over time. Most low cost, if not all low cost programmers are fly by night. What I mean is once they get your money and deliver the initial product, they are gone. Good luck getting them to fix bugs etc.

I think the best way is to research the best countries for outsourcing and then find the best software development companies in that region. Also, reading reviews might be helpful.

Ask people you trust if they can recommend someone. Check reviews about the software development company you are interested in. Talk to the people you want to work with. All those simple steps will help you to make your choice
