What's Offshore Hosting

Offshore hosting is when the server is hosted in another country. Many Offshore hosts allows Nulled software and doesn't follow the copyright laws. Personally I don't see the need for offshore hosting I'd rather pay for the items I use

Yes I know that but most offshore hosting is for people who want to use Illegal software such as vBulletin (Unpaid) if you check with the program host you will see many of them aren't using legal versions.

You are both right, offsure hosting simply means hosting your website in a server located in another country and it is also targeted for illegal use.

Agreed I mean there are some people that use offshore that use legal copies but want to be hosted in another country

Sometimes offshore hosting are not suitable for sites targeted for locals as users may experience heavy latency problem.

That's true but in my eyes it's mostly used for members that want to use illegal scripts and they don't want to risk their site being taken down.

It can also be that your website is targeting the audience of certain country, so you choose to host there instead of local in order to faster website loading speed.
