MAKE A UNIQUE FORUM THAT YOU CAN CONNECT WITH. IF IT'S A GAMER SITE MAKE IT UNIQUE OTHER WISE IT'S JUST ANOTHER GAMING FORUM.

Software Tips
​

1. DO NOT USE NULLED SOFTWARE
   
2. Find the best forum script that matches your site
   
3. Look at the support community and check to make sure it's an actively updated software

Setting Up Tips

​

1. Place the forums offline till you set it up completely
   
2. Have 1 or 2 other admins helping you set up
   
3. Do not add to many sections start off small and expand as the members start many topics on 1 subject
4. Find a unique theme that goes with your site
   
5. Add Plugins that you feel will help the community
6. PAY FOR ALL PLUGINS DO NOT USE NULLED OR ILLEGAL COPIES OF PLUGINS
7. PAY FOR ALL THEMES DO NOT USE NULLED OR ILLEGAL COPIES OF THEMES

Staff Members

1. Have 2 or 3 admins so you can divide the work
2. DO NOT HIRE 5 Staff members when your site has 10 members
   
3. STAFF Members are members that have earned the title with their posts and the rest of the staffs trust.
   
4. If you want to have an staff application make requirements that a member has to meet before being eligible to apply
5. Increase Staff Members as the site grows

Dealing with Spam:

1. Use a spam plugin
2. Require Captaca (Image Verification)
3. Require Email Verification
4. Have moderators remove spam if it's found on the site.

Plugins
​

Add plugins that you believe will help improve your website. One plugin that you should add is a user group legend so members know what each usergroup color stands for. If you want members to be able to chat with each other possibly add either Cometchat or Arrowchat (THESE 2 CHAT PLUGINS ARE NOT FREE)
