A quick google search will bring it up. Ofcourse, it wont stop DDOS completely.

The best defense for the site from ddos attacks are not programs and not scripts. You just need to use a secure server with DDoS protection.

CSF software are great firewall that also protect DDos attack,
but keep in mind that only a real physical firewall will do a good job against that.
