Can anyone share how 1. Blogging and 2. Forums helps in a content base?

I have been trying to get involved in couple of blogging and forum sites to promote my brand. I can write about niche market current topics and about the topics.

But, I want to know how good is this idea? and what is the best way to start this?

Most forum sites have restricted content topics. Under these circumstances, is it possible to promote any brand through various forums and blogging sites? How?

Would be grateful if you share your intel to prepare a basic content marketing strategy?

You can promote your site through blogging. But in forum, we can't . It has certain rules. You can do by your product related forum, if available

Forums is good for building content with the help of your members. Blogging is good too and I am in the process of starting my own blogging page for my site to boost activity within my forums and userbase.

I'm not sure about forums, because forums don't allow to promote your brand or business in their but Blogging can be a great way, just don't use it only for promotion basis only, write blogs which provide some value to an certain audience. If people find some value in their, they will surely gonna stick by to your brand also.
