I never used AdSense before and wondered is it hard to set up? Does it consume a lot of time? How does it all work? Does one need to click the link in order to get paid or just by simply being displayed on the page?

Its very simple. Just generate the ad code of various sizes and place the code to your website or blog where you want to show the ads.

Google AdSense is an easy way to make money through blog or website. It is very easy to setup Google AdSense account.

First you need to apply your site for Google AdSense.

For that just go to Google & search for Google AdSense & you will find the website > click on sign in >login with Gmail> fill the basics detail like website URL, name etc.

After that next step is to copy the code which is provided by Google AdSense & you need to paste it in your website below <head> section.

Then they will review your website & if your website will get approved then you can start showing ads on your website, the process is quite simple.

You can place ads manually or can also enable autoads from AdSense dashboard.

If you are using WordPress then it becomes more easy as there are lots of plugins in WordPress.

Some money you earn by "link being clicked."

Some money you earn by "link simply being displayed on the page."

Adsense pays you either for clicks or simply for views, which are also referred to as impressions. Adsense pays you by what they call your CPM, which is your Cost Per Mille. In other words, your CPM is how much Adsense will pay you per 1,000 impressions.

Generally speaking, publishers get 68%, or 51% when using AdSense for reach. Depending on the niche, the commission can go from $0.20 to $15, with an average of $3 per click for publishers.

AdSense is an advertising program by Google that allows website owners or publishers to display ads on their site and earn money from clicks or impressions. Here are the steps to get started with AdSense:

Sign up for an AdSense account: Go to the AdSense website and sign up for an account. You will need to provide some basic information about yourself and your website.
  • To sign up for an AdSense account, go to the AdSense website (https://www.google.com/adsense/start/) and click on the "Sign up now" button.
  • You will be asked to provide some basic information about yourself, such as your name, address, and email address.
  • You will also need to provide information about your website, such as the URL and the content of the website.
  • Once you have submitted your application, AdSense will review it and let you know if you have been approved. If you are approved, you will be able to log in to your AdSense account and start creating ad units.
Set up ad units: Ad units are the ads that will be displayed on your website. You can choose from a variety of ad formats and sizes, and customize the colors to match your website's design.
  • Ad units are the ads that will be displayed on your website. To set up ad units, log in to your AdSense account and click on "Ads" from the left-hand menu.
  • From there, you can create new ad units by clicking on "Ad units" and selecting the type of ad you want to create (e.g., display ads, link ads, or search ads).
  • You can choose from a variety of ad formats and sizes, and customize the colors and style to match your website's design.
Place ad code on your website: Once you've created your ad units, you'll need to place the ad code on your website. AdSense will provide you with a code snippet that you can copy and paste into your website's HTML.
  • Once you have created your ad units, AdSense will provide you with a code snippet that you can copy and paste into your website's HTML.
  • To place the ad code on your website, you will need to access the HTML source code for the page where you want the ads to appear.
  • You can then paste the ad code into the appropriate section of the HTML code.
Start earning money: Once the ads are up and running on your website, you'll start earning money from clicks or impressions. AdSense will track your earnings and pay you out once you've reached the payment threshold.
  • Once the ads are up and running on your website, you will start earning money from clicks or impressions.
  • AdSense will track your earnings and pay you out once you've reached the payment threshold, which is $100 for most countries.
  • You can choose to receive your payments via direct deposit, check, or wire transfer.
Keep in mind that while AdSense can be a great way to earn money from your website, it's important to follow AdSense's policies and guidelines to ensure that you don't get your account suspended or terminated. You should also focus on creating high-quality content and driving traffic to your website to maximize your earnings.

As for how much you can earn, it varies depending on a number of factors such as the amount of traffic your website receives, the type of ads being displayed, and the CPC (cost-per-click) of the ads. Generally, the more traffic your website receives, the more you can earn from AdSense.

It's important to note that while AdSense can be a great way to earn money from your website, it's not a get-rich-quick scheme. It takes time and effort to build up traffic and earn a significant income from AdSense.

I hope this helps you get started with AdSense. If you have any further questions or need more guidance, feel free to ask.

Setting up AdSense involves signing up, getting approval, and placing provided code on your site. Integration is straightforward and doesn't take long. Earnings come from ad impressions (views) and clicks, with clicks generally yielding higher revenue. Both contribute to earnings, but click fraud is prohibited. AdSense pays based on displayed ads and clicks from your site's traffic. While visitors don't have to click for you to earn, clicks usually generate more income than impressions. Growing traffic is crucial for meaningful earnings through AdSense.
