How to find duplicate content issue?

Hello friends,

We are running a blog and we publish valuable content and long guides that help our readers. but as we are post new article, we are facing duplicate content issue.

Last week, we used a tool to check our blog to find out duplicate content issue. some of our paragraphs contain such content. we know this is harmful to our blog but we cannot delete such articles from our blog.

So please tell us how can overcome duplicate content issue and remove it permanently.

There are but I don't bother with strings and stuff, just copy/past like half a sentence per every search. If there is any duplicate content indexed you usually find it quickly.

Delete is anyway otherwise your blog will be struck by lightning. You have to remove it and I would love to hear how it's possible that you have paragraphs of duplicate content. If you wrote it first and someone copied it from you, don't worry. Google knows who added the original content first.

I think from now on you should have a way to control the contents that you post so that they won't be duplicate again, the manual way is still the best way to help you with this problem, you can redirect duplicate content to the canonical URL, try adding a canonical link element to the duplicate page (A canonical URL lets you tell search engines that certain similar URLs are actually the same) by using canonical URLs (HTML link tags with the attribute rel=canonical), you can have these on your site without harming your rankings.

The best way to identify the duplicate content is copy any 6 to 7 words sequentially from the content and paste it into Google search box using double quote.

Example – “such as versions optimized for normal HTML” this text copied from Wikipedia and you can see the duplicate content in bold text along with the page link, when you open that link, you can find the remaining content duplicate from your original content. If content duplication is above 25% you have to change your own content to avoid duplication.

The above process is manual, you can also check using free tools, siteliner for internal duplication and copyscape for external duplication.
