A couple of possible (technical) reasons behind your website traffic drop

Code is lacking–Make sure you've incorporated Google Analytics monitoring code on every page of your website. Use this tool to search for missing Google Analytics code on all of your pages.

Incorrect snippet–Make sure you 're using the correct snippet for your property. Here's how you can locate your GA

tracking code: Admin-> Tracking Info–> Tracking Code Additional characters or white space–make sure you copy your GA code snippet and paste it directly to your website using a code formatting editor. Not doing so could lead to running into a problem.

Most likely an algorithm change. Go read up on the latest search engine changes to their algorithms. Then look at your site and your competitors sites. After that modify your content, internal linking, external linking etc to make the algorithm changes happy.
