Backup and restore a website from a server on another server?

I am using cPanel, i want to move a website from a server to another server in a quickest way. Is there a simple way to backup and restore a website on a new hosting?

Hello, in Cpanel you can do it easily, if you are on VPS or dedicated server, just download the full backup and go to your new WHM > restore backup > and upload your data and its done.

If you dont have WHM then you can ask your hosting provider to restore a full backup from your zip file for you.

OR

go to Cpanel > download your home directory and data base and upload to your new cpanel and manually create a new user for your data base and connect the new DB user to your database.

Hello Dopani For server backup and restore, you can migrate cPanel to cPanel, but that need root login, that works through you WHM login

But the easiest method is just to use cPanels back and restore function.

Backup everything on the old server, restore it on the new - confirm everything is good and then update your DNS
