Is Joomla worth trying?

Bought a server ( HPE Proliant 10th gen, soroShitt ), and want to start news-farout.
Ive installed BOTH on it, nothing special, some old behaviour.........

Any thoughts?

Is there any particular reason why you are considering Joomla as opposed to Wordpress?

For a simple news environment, you may be able to stretch Joomla and make it work. However, in the future should you decide to grow your database and expand it into something more complex and elaborate (such as a database with product or service offers), Joomla will hold you back, whereas WordPress has millions of plug-ins for just about everything you can think of.

I find Joomla overly complicated for what it does. If you have to make a simple edit it can a nightmare just trying to find the right section.

While Joomla is a more beginner-friendly option than something like Drupal, WordPress is still the easiest and fastest way to create a website.
