Can anyone tell me which social media platform is the best to drive traffic to an affiliate link? And why?

I think Facebook is the best for affiliate marketing. You can promote your affiliate links through a Facebook page or Facebook groups. And the audience on Facebook is way more than any other social media platform.

Instagram is also trending nowadays among youngsters, but there is a setback that you can only place the affiliate links in the bio.

No social media platform is "the best". Every platform is different, caters to a different audience and offers different opportunities, depending on what you sell and who your target is. If you cater to an older audience, the FB is likely your best bet. But if you cater to a younger audience, you may need to consider Snap or Insta.

Every Traffic source is matter during marketing. For different products we have different strategies and mainly we cannot direct promote affiliate links on any social media platforms, quota and other websites.
To Get traffic to our website or affiliate link I usually recommend SEO but it is hard.
Usually I used DM(Direct message) to get little but highly targeted traffic from different medium.
