I get a phlebotomy every month because I have haematomachrosis (excessive iron in my blood). It just means extracting blood and replacing it (usually with saline).

That sounds cruel. Does it seriously interfere with your life?

The excess iron would eventually build up in my organs and kill me if left unchecked. A normal level is around 100-140, but mine has hit over 700 already
