What is your favorite stat tool to use?

I use awstats on my apache / php / proxy hosts, but I have a couple of smaller projects on tiny VPSes whose access logs are kept in length-limited queues (never written to disk) which I can query over the web.

I'd love to find a nice stats tool that worked on my desktop, but haven't found one yet.

My favorite stat tool is HiStats it monitors visitors in real time and is completely free and no strings attached. I have used Google analytics before and wasn't that impressed with it.
