This error is common error when using DA, So if you want to change the password for your mysql
type the command:

Code:
cat /usr/local/directadmin/conf/mysql.conf
The results are as follows:

Code:
[root@yourhostname]#cat /usr/local/directadmin/conf/mysql.conf
user=da_root
passwd=42767ddf8s88ht@tsDo
[root@yourhostname]#
Also, you can use nano to edit password
Code:
nano /usr/local/directadmin/conf/mysql.conf
Good luck!
