A Blogspot Blog be optimised and ranked as good as self hosted Wordpress blog?

For someone who is on a very tight budget and wants to promote clickbank products, can he make use of blogger (blospot). In terms of getting ranked for long tail keywords, are there any limitations?

With some people that low budget to buy a domain, web hosting and fee for design a website template...etc then they can use blogger (blogspot) to promote their web service, clickbank or amazon's products. But to rank on blogspotit's difficult for them when follow some guidelines from blogspot without doing with their hobbies.

So, in terms of getting ranked for our keywords, are there any limitations and according to you, a Blogspot blog be optimised and ranked as good as self hosted Wordpress blog?

If blogspot is treated like other websites, it can rank well just like any website but the difference is that you don't have total control of your page. Besides that, there is no any limitation, you can use it as much as you want.

I tend to feel that Wordpress is way too superior to blogger. Wordpress is more SEO friendly than blogger and if the two are equally optimized, Wordpress will come out ahead. Wordpress also has many SEO plugins that give even the most inexperienced user an advantage that blogger users never get.

Today we have to see all the content management platform equality such as WordPress, Blogger and Tumblr as well. If you can treat these kinda sites equally as we treat other sites than we get well rank too in this site. Because today there are still many blogger who actually uses blogspot and Wordpress but they just buy a new domain as change the DNS setting. Through this they get enough traffic and a making handsome amount too...
