A Replacement for PageRank?

Representatives from Google announced recently that they would no longer be updating their PageRank toolbar annotations for web pages.

However, they are coming up with the new metric called Global Score.

What is Global Score? It's the same Pagerank?

Which will affect to it?

It's not official news from Google so I don't think it will happen. If Google change to a new one, why they don't use current one, I mean Pagerank It's still good now.

I understand the fact that Google hasn't announced it officially, but this news was published by one of the reputable SEO blog "SeoByTheSea". So, atleast I wouldn't doubt on their statements.

About time people let go PR
as its just one aspect that is so irrelevant these days and many SEO geeks are luring customers by providing HIGH PR but no value links to their clients.

Hope there will be a better scoring system now
