Increase Traffic from Expired Domain Traffic?

My site is getting low traffic and I'm wanting to increase traffic for it by buying expired domains but high traffic and redirect to my main domain.

It's possible and do you have any experience in this, please share me should or shouldn't?

I don't that expired domain will give high quality traffic, since it will lack of conversion rate. However, you can use expired domain as private network blogs for SEO.
