Here are the stats for Web Hosts of the top 10,000 sites on the net (not sure how they determine that; via Alexa maybe?):

This chart is via [URLnf="http://trends.builtwith.com"]http://trends.builtwith.com[/URLnf] where it looks like you can see web technology usage trends for all kinds of stuff -- from frameworks, to hosts, javascript libraries, servers, etc. The charts and stats are pretty damn cool, but not all that surprising. Everyone knows Apache is the most used web server, but seeing the market-share is neat. You can pay for long term charts, but the prices are so high it looks like it is for big businesses only, which is a bummer.
