Strategies for Promoting Your YouTube Videos Successfully?

Hi,
I uploaded more videos to Youtube but I have less views on each videos and not as my expectation. May I be wrong way on promoting or optimizing them?
Could you share any strategies for promoting your YouTube videos that you have successes?

You can start by sharing your YouTube videos with friends and family members, asking them to share it on social networks. Post on other YouTube videos, related blogs and forums, etc. Also, you can advertise it on other people social networks.
