I realize it's already two months in but if you haven't set any goals for this year you should stop and do it. They probably won't stay the same all year long but it certainly helps you get motivated to see them on your desk or hanging on a wall every day.
In my office I have a large cork board that I call my "victory board". I put my dreams and goals, along with photos of people and places that need changes or help and it keeps them in my remembrance every single day.
Would you go on a trip to a place you've never been before without a road map or GPS? Of course not, and it's the same way in business. By setting easy short goals that lead to bigger long-term goals you will have a road map that will lead you to success. If you get off course, jump back quickly and keep going. Nothing worth while comes without a few snags along the way.
