How much content do I need before promoting site?

I'm going to build an Adsense monetized blog, I want to provide it as great source of content. Do you know any rules I should follow or how much content I need before I start promoting it with PPC, solo ads, banner ad...etc.?

Rule of thumb, I would have at least 10 pages with 350+ words.

Each post, try to write about 700 words. it will also help you to reduce the bounce rate.

So, if you are writing a blog than you should write upto 1000 words so that you can make it fully informative in context to provide complete info about the niche in which you are making your blog.
