I want to know about what is Google's Phantom Update?

And how can it affect my site?

Phantom update is widely called as quality update. This update does almost what panda update was actually did. Yes this quality update is more like panda for considering quality like decent navigation, penalize websites with lo quality and thin contents and penalize websites that having too many ads and pop ups.

This update mainly focused on link issues. It causes more impact on How to content websites like wikihow and ehow etc.,

Actually hubpages is the most affected site in the algorithm with a 22% fall in Google search traffic. i think through this algorithm, Google want to convey that the brand is not a major factor in search rankings. You need to maintain a quality and creative content that engages the audience.
