About Directory Submission ?

How many directory submission needed per day for a website and cud u pls give me list or link of directory with high PR , I mean more than 3 PR.

In my opinion Directory submission is one of the famous Off page SEO technique which is used for improving the ranking and also traffic. The technique brings quality back-links. It helps your site to index in search engine fast.

In most cases it does not do any of that....

Think about this... Google obviously takes every step to prevent people from manipulating the search rankings... Don't you think a directory listing is the most obvious one to spot? Further when was the last time you saw a directory listing ranking for anything?

You never see them on the search results and further those sites pretty much get zero traffic... In addition a page with lots of links on them dilutes the link juice coupled with the fact that typical directories have little contextual information.... Bottom line - its not 2005..... its 2015 and most directories have been hit hard.... and these are junk links which are either ignored or worse will damage your rankings negatively given Google is very likely to detect that you are attempting to game the serps.

The only directories that are worth listing are on sites where it requires moderator approval whereby every effort is in place to provide a quality site and also tend to be very niche specific.... Even then I personally would not bother as its still a footprint which shows you are gaming the serps with links that are relatively easy to acquire.

Yes you are right and read my mind elcidofaguy! Actually I don't think so about Directory Submission. Last year I've taken many requests from my clients to find and disavow their back-links through Directory Submission Sites.

I do agree with elcidofaguy, it's actually a troublemaker if you are just keep on submitting, specially on those submission sites that are not legit and not worth listing. At the end of the day, if you don't know what you're doing, it will just be a waste of time and effort.

You should create as many as you can in quality directories.

And stop worrying about PR. PR has not been updated in over 18 months. Nobody has any idea what the PR is of any page on the internet right now.

Find high quality directories that are related or have a section for your niche and add your site to these.

Stop worrying about "I have to add x per day". If you start down that path, you will end up shooting yourself in the foot by adding your site to low quality directories, just to meat your own x/day goal.

Do not overflow your linkbuilding work. Now a days Google does not rank a website on the basis of link only. There are too many factors Google count to rank a webpage. I see many websites ranking in high competitive niche without having much link.

so my recommendation is try to build Google trust only. The more your website will be trustworthy for Google the more good ranking you can expect.

But it has no limits that how many has you done directory submission per day for your site. You can add your site into high quality directory sites as you can. It's also not a factor of page rank of directories because Google updated page rank several years ago.

I guess, you can do 8-12 directories everyday. Not all web directories have the same approval time so some directories may take several weeks to approve your submission and list your website in their directory so you will get natural variations in your link building work which is a good thing.
