How true is the answer to this: Does the URL have an expiry date?

No, the short URLs don't have an expiry date, they will be always online. Currently it is not possible to set an expiration date for a shortened link, but if your login (user account) is associated to your short link, you will be able to delete the short link if you want.
That is what a service says ... but, all it takes is their servers to go away, like the thousands of websites that go up and go down.

True and false!

For any URLs, they will have an an expiry date if they have included a session (timeout) on the URL which the website owners wanted to allow their users use them for a while or limited time.

Also, these will be managed on web systems, depends on each system and its purposes.
