This mobile reachable important, something I do not have to repeat .. Also we are busy working and surfing for more information about the possibilities for a mobile website, you end up in a jungle of opinions. Therefore I have a top 10 with essential tips made so quickly on the right track.
1. Go for a mobile makeover
When the current website into a mobile version to be cast is a bit more work than the entire content in a long, narrow column clots. Grab the chance to see the site rezoned and come out of the capabilities on mobile devices. Consider taking pictures, actions based on the location of the user, etc. These are opportunities for new features and capabilities on your site.
Consider what the main actions and what data are immediately available should be. Reorganize based on that key information throughout the site and let blocks unnecessary content back roads.
2. Use of icons
Icons make it not only fast fun, they are also very useful on a smaller screen. There is a lot of creative work available online and who is good looking even free fonts against. addition, there are even downloadable fonts that you can use for commercial use. Read it ALWAYS the license before you use them.
3. Always a pop-up free mobile site!
Apps like Youtube and Google Maps are fun to use when a visitor a video on your website or want to view a route searching, but concern for integration! When leaving the site, because a new window is opened (like an app) can cause irritation to the visitor. It is also very important to any pop-ups, which is now the ordinary website may not to come back to a mobile website. Managing multiple screens is not that easy as on a computer.
4. Keep the headings shorter than short.
This speaks for itself. There is not much space on the mobile screen and if your heading is longer than two lines, content is pushed down. Not useful, because that's quickly from the screen of the visitor. So keep them short and sweet! The same goes for the rest of the copy, view and concern for clarity.
5. Provide a "Go to the complete website" emergency exit
Always have a fire exit, a link that visitors quickly to the entire website can. Some visitors want to visit the website as well once they are used.
6. Font and font size
Do not go lower than a text size: 14 pt. Choose a font that looks good on all platforms (hence extensively test this!). Also check http://www.google.com/webfonts for free fonts.
7. Respect the "fat fingers" of your target audience
How fine a touch screen can be, anyone has ever experienced "fat fingers" and becomes haphazard unintended buttons on a website. Make the call-to-action big enough so finicky is not necessary. Consider dimensions of 40 by 40 pixels and ensure enough space between the "buttons", at least 10 pixels. It is also good for the site visitors as well zooms in and out, and automatically adjusts to the size of the screen.
8. Create your first mobile marketing!
Tip: Using the Mobile Ads Showcase app from Google can see how your ads work on mobile (Android) smartphones and tablets. The app is designed for marketing agencies to show clients how ads look like on mobile devices.
