I just read an interesting article about Google's Knowledge Graph.
Seems there are some that believe this will take over the search result landscape, followed by paid ad spots, which will render organic rankings less useful.
I'm not quite convinced, but it does raise a point. Pretty much all Google result have ad spots at the top. Many will have the Google Images bar or a Google Places section above the results. Now with the growth of the Knowledge Graph, Google is answering more and more questions right away so people don't even need to click any links.
Obviously if you do a Google Search for Best Internet Marketing Forum Google isn't going to have a Knowledge Graph answer for that so organic results are still important, but what about for other sites & keywords?
Do you think this will have much impact on how we SEO? If organic ranking going to the waist site in lieu of paid advertising or generating traffic from social media, direct links, etc?
