Do you put your email on your website or do you just use a contact us form?
If you are wondering about what to do,
your question has no right or wrong answer, or a "what is best" answer.
Technically you can do "either/or", and in our case, we use "Both".
Much of it depends on the type of website you run.
If you expect the occasional email, then you may not need an extensive ticket script or contact form. Putting a simple email address as contact info would suffice. However, if you do so, you should make it harder for spiders and bots to extract information by adding your email address into an image, as opposed to just typing it as text onto your page.
If choosing to use a "contact us" form, just be aware that this will be no guarantee that you won't be spammed. Current bots are programmed to look for certain fields and extract information from them, and/or submit spam to you anyway. So in the end, think about the type of experience you want for your customers and visitors to have, and decide what to do based on that.
