What do you think how much influence social media have for gaining the ranking of a site?

Why more people said that you need to use social networks but didn't mentions to SEO factor from it?

Social media has no direct impact on rankings. It can have an indirect impact. Meaning that if people share the page and someone eventually sees it who build a link to it, that can give you a boost.

But directly, there is no impact.

If you want to build a brand and have some customer base, i would recommend you to use social media. However the links shared in the social media is no-follow. Probably the search engines are not going to look in what you are sharing in social media. You will get the traffic for the links you share in social media.
