Google buys companies that have value to them. There is nothing that Moz or Majestic are doing that would provide one bit of value to Google. They have nothing Google would want.Yeah makes sense. I wouldn't be surprised if Google bought one or all of them companies up. Do you think they would want to or may have already tried? That seems to be the modus operandum of them today.
You are partially right. You are correct that WE would not see a change in the PR, but that is only because Google does not release the data publicly anymore. However, there would certainly be a change in that page's PageRank. PR does indeed still flow just like it always did. Google just keeps PageRank data to themselves now. They do not share any glimpse of it with us.I still think to stand by what I say by PR would not flow. Not as far as the end-user is concerned anyway. Someone could build 1000 PR9 dofollow links to their site and no matter how much time they waited the PR would never update as far as the Toolbar and PR checkers are confirmed (knowing that most PR checkers only check the Toolbar API anyway).
So you are right that you would not SEE a PR change in the PR toolbar, but the PR has certainly changed.
I like some of the stuff Bruce does a lot, but that just sounds like sales hype to me.But who knows what happens, they might release an update for it one day and surprise us all. I have a bud on Skype who just come back from Bruce clay SEO class in LA and he says they're getting ready to roll out the biggest change they've ever done before and apparently its going to upset a lot of people and have a massive change on the way sites are ranked.
So nothing new then.
