Does your site use a CDN?

Beyond just paying for whatever host you are using. Do you use a CDN (content delivery network) to try to optimize how your site is served to your visitors?

If so what CDN do you use and how feeling are you having with it?

I am not using CDN for my site now. Because my site is hosted on Godaddy managed WordPress hosting and it works fine without any CDN. However I had used cloudflare free plan for my previous site, But it had slow down my site. I have also heard that MAX CDN is best CDN network.

When I lived down in the Cape Cod area, I used to run many local based city
portal sites and I, of course, used CDNs. They were great for presenting my
visitors with relevant information.

I found that even though they will helpful in presenting relevant information,
they were also great for taking my visitors away from my site using links within
the content being served by their systems.

You have to be careful to ensure you're using a "friendly" CDN. Some of them
are out there simply to try to divert traffic away from your site. With friends
like that, who needs enemies, LOL...

I believe your confusing a CDN with something else.
Cloudflare and Max CDN are Content Delivery Networks. They cache your websites content, and server your visitors, from their edge servers. They also include some other optimization features like auto-minification, compression, image optimization, WAF, etc.

Using one of these services can, and usually will speed up your websites loading. However it has no affect on what content is displayed on your website. It does not give relevant information, or add links away from your site.

I use KeyCDN for my website.
Much cheaper than Max CDN / CloudFlare when it comes to custom SSL's. Beats paying >$100/mo for your own SSL.

Speed-wise it's improved the load time dramatically. To under 1 second within the USA.

Our website uses CDN, because we get a large amount of traffic from other areas. I haven't used Cloudflare, but I understand that their premium plans work well.

Here CDN means to "A content delivery network" or content distribution network (CDN) is a large distributed system of servers deployed in multiple data centers across the Internet.

If you google it you will found many providers for CDN services.

If you are thinking about using CDN, you should understand that you really need it. There is no good free cdn nowadays and every good service costs good money. That's why you should understand why your website needs it. It's not very good for all types of content, works great with leave straming etc. It shows great performance for us.
