Dont get me wrong having good content and onsite seo are key, But one major factor that needs to be focused on after that is "Backlinks" high quality contextual links to be exact, drip-fed overtime with some powerful pbn/or similar links thrown in if need be to push you to the top for your keywords, this will useally take around 30-90 days depending upon the age and metrics of your domain name.
