It depends on each backlink, the site authority, is the link do-follow or no-follow, is it indexable, Google crawl rate for the site backlink is on, relevancy, site age, etc.

Relevant backlinks from high DA sites take several weeks to make an impact. If your website is new, then you won't see improvements in SERP's for many months.

Somewhere between right away and never. It depends on the quality of the link and when Google discovers it.

This is wrong. DA has absolutely nothing to do with Google or how long it would take a link to have an impact. No search engine on the planet looks at DA.

I agreed with @msulcs, It depends on each backlink, the site authority. Sometimes Google index webpage or link very quickly & sometimes it takes long time to index and as a webpage or link get indexed it give effect.

Link building is one big waiting game, but the quality of your content or services is what will sustain you in the long run.Focus on quality, and the links will come more easily.
And there is no exact answer how long it will take to get a result,as for every SEO campaign the results are different. There is sometimes an effect within a couple of days or a week, or no effect at all - especially for the more competitive keywords.
It also depends on your link building strategy and the type of links, that you are building.
Yes, I have several backlinks.
And If Google believes that the information on that website is fresh and up to date and is important to people then it will be crawling that website pretty fast.

Depends on the back links, if they are cheap automated spam links, then likely never.
If the back links have been “earned” via content promotion or guest blogging then I would hazard a guess at around 7–10 days.
The rate at which back links are indexed also depends on your own website, if it’s an old established site, then links can get indexed quicker otherwise wait it out.

As per my experience, it depends on those backlinking sites. If a site is so much familiar or popular on the web, and if you get a backlink from that site, then Google will update your backlink profile quickly with that new link. Like if you get a backlink from medium or scoop.it or quora then your backlink will add to your website backlink profile asap. If you get a backlink from a directory or social bookmark site that rarely get hits, then there's less or no possibility to update by Google.

Might be 1-2 months or much more. If it carry quality then may be less time and obviously follow google terms.

Firstly it depends upon whether the link you have generated is DO Follow or NO Follow, if it is a No follow link then it hardly gonna matter but if it is a Do follow link, then other metrics will come into play, which is- how often thus the website gets crawled by Google itself, if it is crawled on almost regular basis, then within a few days, backlink will start showing its effect or else it will vary on the basis of how often Google crawl that particular website.

It really depends on the type of link. If it is highly relevant and has tremendous authority it can be quick. Google crawl discussion websites more frequently for example due to regular contents update. Therefore, if you place a link to your website in one of your replies it will be registered during that crawl.

One thing is site's authority. Good authority site's links are make impact in a short time. More than that if your content is well & good, it will reach users. If users like the content & will get crawled easily.

It depends upon you and which method you create a low-quality backlink strongly. May it takes one week or 1 month according to google term and condition also.

Indexing happens when Google picks up the page containing the backlink and includes it in its directory. You know the referring page has been indexed when you type in site: URL of the page and Google displays it in the results.

It takes a few days for a new link to get indexed. Results may differ on the following factors:

1. Domain authority (the higher, the better)
2. Type of backlinks (no-follow or do-follow)
3. Trust and brand authority (Google is "partial", my friend)
4. Link velocity (only through viral content)
5. Link relevance (not really important for faster indexing but preferable)

And additionally, you can always use sites like Indexification or Speed-Links to index your link faster. You can create web 2.0 pages or social media posts with those links. You can use parasite pages for that. You can fire automated Tier-II or Tier-III links for the same.

It depends on the domains from where you get backlinks.
If that domain has a history of providing fresh content on a regular basis, you'll get the results faster.
The quality and the DA of the domains that you get backlinks from decides the result of your ranking.

There are a lot of variables to take into consideration when looking over your question, like:

1.) What kind of link it is

2.) The relevance to the niche you are attempting to target

3.) The “newness” of your site

4.) Whether you already have a site with links from high DA sites
