Is website speed important for SEO?

Hi everyone,

I only know that website speed is important for our customers in case they visit our websites with speed slowly then they will go and don't wait to see anything on your site, even your site has a great design. ...we will lose customers
but about SEO aspect, do you think that website speed i simportant for SEO? and why ?
