What is the difference between Link Building and SEO?

Please share explanations about difference between Link Building and SEO?
I got confused about those terms and want to have definition obviously

SEO has many techniques and link building contains most of the techniques of SEO like Social bookmarking, directory submission, forum commenting etc. So you can say link building is a sub-part of SEO.

SEO is divided into two parts like On-Page and Off-Page. And Link Building is a part of Off-Page SEO. Where backlinks are created using Article Submission, Forum Posting, Blog Commenting, Link Exchange with other webmasters etc.

link building means submitting sites into different platforms like search engines, directories, classifieds, press releases, article submission, forums, etc...

just create an account and submit your website to these platforms.

Seo is nothing but search engine optimization , here you can see
on page optimization and off page optimization,

on page optimization work comes inside your site like title tags, meta tags, h1 h2 tags, anchor links, image optimization etc...


off page optimization means work will be outside the site like submissions in various categories as mentioned earlier,

In one line answer off page indicates doing advertisements about your site to the online people. let they come to know about your website so that anytime they can come to your site to purchase your products or looking your services.
