Hi, appreciate any help my website is a .com domain and all written in English. Im based in Spain and use Ionos . when I do a search for my main keywords from Spain in English I have a good ranking. But if I simulate the search in English and from U.K it holds a really bad ranking. Also I noticed that if I simulate from UK in English there is a term next to the serp "translate this page" but it's in English?
Not sure why this is happening......I have just deactivated a plugin called GTtranslate ....waiting to see if this was Responsible.
Any comments would be appreciated. I only have the .com domain on the site. Thanks in advance

The "Translate this page" tag in SERPs usually appears when search engines detect a mismatch in the website's language settings or metadata. GTtranslate might have contributed by adding language attributes that flagged your site for translation. Deactivating it is a good first step. Next, ensure your website's metadata and language tags are explicitly set to English (`lang="en"`). Use Google Search Console to check how Google is indexing your pages and fix any language or region-specific issues. Also, target the U.K. audience by creating content tailored to them and building backlinks from U.K.-based websites.

It sounds like the GTtranslate plugin might have been causing the "translate this page" issue by tagging your content as being in a different language. Disabling it was a good call—give it some time to see if things improve. For the ranking difference, Google tends to localize search results, so even if your site is in English, being based in Spain might impact how it's served to UK users. To fix this, make sure your site targets the UK audience by setting the correct geo-targeting in Google Search Console and focusing on UK-specific backlinks. Also, double-check your hreflang tags (if any) to ensure they’re not confusing Google.
