My google ranking in English and from U.K

Hi, appreciate any help my website is a .com domain and all written in English. Im based in Spain and use Ionos . when I do a search for my main keywords from Spain in English I have a good ranking. But if I simulate the search in English and from U.K it holds a really bad ranking. Also I noticed that if I simulate from UK in English there is a term next to the serp "translate this page" but it's in English?
Not sure why this is happening......I have just deactivated a plugin called GTtranslate ....waiting to see if this was Responsible.
Any comments would be appreciated. I only have the .com domain on the site. Thanks in advance

That sounds like the problem then, as server location is one of the ranking factors. The closer your physical server is to your target audience, the better it will do because of language and load speed. The further away your server is, the slower the speed will be when fetching contents, and even a fraction of a second can make all the difference. Plus, your server configuration would be in Spanish internally, so that's why it wants to translate. I've had that problem before myself.

The "Translate this page" tag in SERPs usually appears when search engines detect a mismatch in the website's language settings or metadata. Thanks Hugh....everything you say makes sense. Especially that now my ranking has improved dramatically for UK audience and the translate this page no longer appears in the serp. Must have been the GTtranslate. Thanks
