So during the first month i got around 800 impressions on my blog but as soon as the second month kicked in, the impressions dropped to like just 0-1 impression per day. could SEO be the reason for that? i am already doing the best SEO according to my understanding. sss.png

Yes, SEO could very well be a contributing factor to the drop in impressions you're seeing, but it's important to consider a few different possibilities. Here's a breakdown of potential causes for the drop in impressions, even if you feel like you're already doing the best SEO:

1. Indexing Issues or Technical Problems
  • Google Search Console: Check if there are any errors or issues with your site that might be causing Google to de-index your content or lower its visibility. Look for things like crawl errors, manual penalties, or dropped pages.
  • Robots.txt or Meta Tags: Double-check your robots.txt file or meta tags to ensure you're not accidentally blocking search engines from crawling or indexing your pages.
  • Site Speed: Slow page load times or mobile usability issues could affect rankings. Use tools like Google PageSpeed Insights to check your site’s performance.
2. Algorithm Changes
  • Google Algorithm Updates: Google frequently updates its search algorithms, and these changes can impact how your content ranks. It's possible that a change in the second month of your blog could have affected your visibility. You can check websites like Search Engine Journal or Moz to see if there was a recent algorithm update.
  • Seasonal Trends: Impressions can fluctuate due to search volume variations. For example, if your content is related to a seasonal topic, it might receive more traffic initially and then taper off once interest drops.
3. Content Quality & Relevance
  • Content Freshness: If your blog posts were very new and relevant during the first month but are now being outpaced by newer, more authoritative content, you may see a drop in impressions. Google values fresh, high-quality, and relevant content.
  • User Engagement: If people aren’t engaging with your content (not clicking, not spending time on the page, etc.), it might signal to Google that the content isn’t as valuable. Make sure you’re optimizing for engagement by having a compelling meta description, relevant headings, good internal linking, and easy navigation.
SEO is a long-term game, so consistency and continual improvement will eventually help you regain and increase those impressions.
