Write every day - The engine for many online businesses is content. Even though I dont intend to update my blog 7 days a week I will endeavour to get something down on paper every day. More content means more search engine traffic.
More Videos - Video will become a much larger part of my online marketing in 2014. It is more engaging than just text and is a great way to build rapport with your audience as it allows them to put a face to your website/brand. Video on your website also improves your search engine rankings.
Build my email list - Many top internet marketers refer to their email list as their atm and they're not wrong. Email marketing is certainly not dead and will continue to be important in 2014. If someone visits your website and leaves without opting in to your mailing list theres a good chance they’re gone for good. Get their email address and you can market to them over and over again.
A/B test more things - If you never A/B test your marketing promotions then you are leaving a lot of money on the table. Online marketing allows you to virtually test everything. In 2014 I will try to test as many things as possible.
Learn more about my niche - To have an authority website you need to be an authority on your subject in real life. In 2014 I intend to read more about my niche and read more blogs in my chosen niche.
Engage more on social media and within my blogs comments section - In 2014 I will reply to as many (if not all) of my comments on my blog and social media accounts. In the new year I intend to make my blog as much about my readers as it is about my own thoughts. To achieve this I will create more dialogue between myself and my audience.
