E-mail marketing is not helpful for increasing PR. Content and backlinks play great role to increase PR and ranking. E-mail marketing may help to increase direct traffic but organic traffic is stable and more useful for a website.

Email marketing will have little to no effect on page rank.It is useful for driving traffic to your website or lead capture page. You ask if it's a good procedure and the answer is YES. The one thing nearly all successful net marketers have in common is a responsive email list.

Email marketing has not directly helps increase the pr
but however this may increase your traffic and helps your subscribers have to follow.
For example, you can send them an email every time you post a new message on your blog, or you can invite members to participate in a poll, and so on ...

now increasing traffic goggle detects this and therefore your rank will be improved

Email marketing is only useful if you have built your own list NATURALLY over time, as your subscribers are interested in what your offering and what you have to say.

If you're just spamming out emails, you would have to have a lot of money to purchase HUGE list in order for it to pay off, and even then, it would have to be a product or person that is very well known or put forward in such a way a person would trust to click on it.

I consider it Spam ! While Opt in email marketing is beneficial, letter is the negative part. Either way I am bombed daily by them!

Email marketing is a pain in the a**. If you're getting all of your emails from sources you haven't subscribed to, then yes it's spam.

But if you had subscribed to a website wanting notifications about updates and such... Then I wouldn't classify that as spam, because it was something you were personally interested in

I'm not sure they will delivery news or update information, may be included products & advertising...so what do you say about that? :think:

For my sites, I personally send out email notifications to my subscribers about products, services and new posts (whether it's a product/service review, story, article, etc). Whatever I add to my website, or if there are special services, or just something new, I let my clientele know right after I complete it.
